If guests or their households are displaying symptoms of Covid-19 fourteen days prior to arrival date, as per Government guidelines, they should not travel. If this is the case, please contact us as soon as possible and we will endeavour to transfer your booking to a later date.
Guest showing signs of Covid-19 whilst staying at Kribben Cottages are required to go for a test at the nearest test centre. The result of this test must be shown to the owner. If positive then the guest must immediately leave if this is reasonably possible. If for any reason that it is not, and self-isolation is required to take place at Kribben Cottages, then all fees for all bookings affected by this self-isolation will be borne by the guest.
Bookings and Payment
Once you have chosen your cottage and checked availability bookings can be made online, by telephone or email. Kribben Cottages accepts most Credit and Debit card payments through our online booking system. Our booking system assures you of security and confidentiality. A deposit of 25% is required to confirm the booking with the balance due 28 days before arrival. Should a booking be made less than 28 days from arrival date then full payment is required. The lead person must be at least 21 years of age at time of booking.
Good House Keeping
There will also be a mandatory £120 good house keeping deposit which will be payable when the balance is due. The deposit will be returned within 7 days providing the cottage is left in a satisfactory and clean condition. A percentage of this deposit may be kept if extra cleaning is required.
Please contact us immediately should you be compelled to cancel your reservation and confirm this in writing. Only upon receipt of your written instructions will the cancellation take effect. In all cases of cancellation the booking deposit will be forfeited. Should cancellation occur less than 28 days prior to the date on which the holiday begins, Kribben Cottages will seek to re-let for all or part of the booking period and if successful, monies may be refunded, less the deposit. Kribben Cottages does not operate any scheme of cancellation or travel insurance and recommend you obtain your own insurance cover for the holiday.
Cancellation by Kribben Cottages
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Covid-19 Update: If we are required to close our premises due to UK government general restrictions on travel, overnight stays, or other ‘lockdown’ measures directly affecting Kribben Cottages, you will be offered a full refund or opportunity to transfer your booking to a different date.
Arrival and Departure
The cottages are available from 4pm on arrival day and should be vacated no later than 10.30am on the final day of your stay. These times may be flexible subject to prior arrangement. Please advise us of your approximate arrival time prior to your stay.
The maximum occupancy for each cottage is stated on our website and must not be exceeded without prior permission from Kribben Cottages.
Respect of Fellow Occupants
We would ask all our guests to respect the occupants of the other cottages and to act at all times in a way that will not spoil or infringe on other peoples enjoyment. Kribben Cottages reserve the right to take appropriate action against anyone failing to act in a responsible manor. The owner and their representatives retain the right to enter the cottages at anytime.
No Smoking/Vaping Policy
Kribben Cottages operates a no smoking or vaping policy anywhere inside the cottages.
Well behaved dogs are welcome with prior permission from Kribben Cottages. An additional charge of £20 per booking will apply. All dogs must be kept under strict control and must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas. Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture. Any fouling in the gardens must be removed immediately and disposed of properly. Guests who bring pets to the property without prior notice will be refused occupancy of the property or made to vacate early.
You are responsible for the cottage and are expected to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils etc must be left clean and tidy at the end of your holiday. You are also responsible for any breakages or damage to the cottage or its contents, or for any loss of equipment whilst being occupied by you. All such incidents must be notified to Kribben Cottages immediately.
No responsibility will be accepted by the owners for any personal injury to you or any member of your party. No liability will be accepted for accident or loss of, or damage to personal effects, baggage, car or any other item belonging to you or any member of your party whether arising from the negligence of the owner, his representatives or that of any tenant of Kribben Cottages. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your property and ensure the personal safety of yourself and your party.
Covid-19 Update: We do not accept liability to you or members of your group in the event of you contracting Covid-19 whilst on our premises unless this is caused by the negligence of us.
If whilst on holiday you are not entirely satisfied with your cottage, you should contact Kribben Cottages immediately in order that we may attempt to resolve the problem. Failure to follow this procedure will make it impossible for us to put the matter right and may result in the loss or reduction of any rights you may have had in connection with your complaint. If after contacting Kribben Cottages you still feel the problem has not been resolved to your satisfaction, then you must put your complaint in writing to “The Proprietors” within fourteen days of your return from holiday.
